About Colin Morrell Design

Colin Morrell trained as a furniture designer and cabinet maker and graduated from the prestigious Parnham College in 1999. Parnham College in Dorset was one of the leading cabinet making and design schools in the UK, and was set up by John Makepeace, OBE, a furniture designer and maker of worldwide acclaim.

After graduating, Colin set up a small workshop in London’s East End, which he shared with other Parnham Graduates, from which he designed and produced one-off pieces of furniture for both private and corporate clients. Colin then went on to set up a larger bespoke workshop with one of his architectural clients and two German master joiners concentrating on producing custom furniture and architectural joinery for high end residential refurbishments, which he ran for many years.
He then set up Ligneous Group Ltd in 2017 a prestigious premium kitchen retailer in Walton on Thames with the German brands Eggersmann, KH System, Miele, V-Zug and many others.

Colin is a Liveryman at the Furniture Makers' Company, the City of London livery company for the furnishing industry, who champion the whole industry through three pillars of activity; Education, to ensure the next generation are properly trained, Excellence, pushing standards upwards with their guild marks for bespoke furniture, manufacturing and design and Welfare, looking after all who have worked in the industry who may need a helping hand.
